WeTransfer leases new office space to move global headquarters to the heart of Amsterdam

Union Investment Real Estate GmbH has concluded a lease agreement with WeTransfer B.V. at Keizersgracht 281-287 in Amsterdam. The lease includes 1,295 sqm of office space located on the first floor.

The investment in the new headquarters reflects WeTransfer’s ambition for continued growth, minimizing impact on the planet and desire to create a flagship hub for collaboration and innovation.

WeTransfer was founded on a simple yet powerful idea: to enable people to share large digital files in the easiest way possible. Over the past ten years, the company has grown from the Netherlands into a profitable content distribution platform that is trusted by 80 million people and companies around the world.

The new hub, close to cultural and creative hotspots, reflects WeTransfer’s strong social and environmental foundations and clear carbon footprint reduction targets across all areas of the company. As a certified B company (certification from B Lab, which measures the social and environmental impact of companies) it will provide an accessible space, reduce office emissions in the long term, increase energy efficiency while ensuring that all its offices meet the highest sustainability standards.

The prestigious ‘5 Keizers’ building in the historic city center of Amsterdam fits well with WeTransfer’s growth ambitions. The company looked for an attractive building in a central location that is well equipped to support its hybrid work environment while being easily accessible to its local and international teams.

In the coming months, the office will be converted into a real WeTransfer space that represents the brand and its creative DNA. In addition to Amsterdam, WeTransfer also has hubs in London, Paris and New York.
